DUSTY`S DAY
A gathering of friends at the send-off for my friend Dusty.
A crowd of possibly 1000 people gathered for laughs & eulogies.
I met people I hadn`t seen in years.
It was definitely a great meet-up, though a sad send off.
Dusty would have been proud of the crowd.

Kitchen Window
Pinwheel & Fire
This, a Hawaiian flower, (I always forget it`s name) but they make Leis with them, is one I shot on my nightly Coconut amble.
I included a nice, Purple Olivia, a name I made up, since I`m clueless about flowers, but see beauty in them, & a few from my yard, in the strange light of wildfires further to the north.

EMERALD SCARAB
I wish I could have taken better shots of this beauty, but it was threatening to leave, & I didn`t have much time with it before it did lift off from my hand like some kind of Transformer.
Over on Planet Earth I put a flame up in memory of my dear friend Adelle, who loved the attached flowers.
There is also a Shovelhead Harley Davidson some one gave me the other day.
I also will soon be doing a blog post on my Knucklehead which is almost completed from a complete engine rebuild.
I`d started with some simple ameliorations, but it turned into a monster. I can`t wait to fire it up & hit the canyons.
Have a great day.

Turn Turn Turn
A while ago, someone showed interest in some of my cactus flowers.
I offered that if they sent me an address, I would send some plants.
I sent off a box of cactus & assorted cuttings.
Today, out of the blue, I received a package with a fantastic bowl, & an even more exotic smaller covered "jar".
The fact that this was so "over the top" generous of this person, I may send more plants & see what happens.
I will be shooting these beauties again, taking more time, but before anything might happen, I always like to get items on file immediately.
I learned to do that when introducing new specimens into my reefs.
Some have been attacked & eaten within minutes, so I have a habit of photographing new things of beauty, pronto.

COLOR SPLASH
Working at my pond project today, I figured I might as well capture some color during a feeding frenzy.
I have included a few more shots from the location.
Do check them out please.
I imagine they are interesting for anyone who loves colors & water.
Have a great day.
Myself, I need sleep in a bad way, but I`ll be on that project for a while more.
