This is Chester, our street, pig.
He`s been here for 15 years, & belongs to an old friend of mine.
Lately, Chester has been getting out more often.
In this image, I`m getting him to skedaddle back home.
Just the other day, two police cruisers turned down my street just ahead of me.
They slowed down & one made a u-turn & parked while the second one pulled over & parked on the right, opposite each other.
I stopped between them & asked them if they were looking for a pig.
They were quite surprised, since indeed they had gotten a report of a black boar wandering down the street.
I schooled them on the who, what, where & when of Chester & we all had a laugh.

I've never had a Chester but for years we had a Harvey, a pit bull that lived 1/2 mile away and 300 ft lower from us. He and our (now departed) coonhound became BFF's and once or twice a week Harvey would come up for a visit. And because we were worried that he would get hit, we would eventually drive him back home after the two had a good a satisfactory play date.
Chester! And Harvey! Both fantastic names.
Play dates for dogs & an escape for the pig.
Maybe Chester was on his way to his play date, possibly a playmate, or even Ms. Piggy.
Olivia,
How nice to have you over.
BTW, I went over to my friend`s house today & did see Chester. He was snoozing.
