RISING SUBMARINER

UP FROM THE DEEP
This wide-bodied big lipped beauty is over two feet long, (NDD),
& is a little special image for Ms NDD,
Viewing it in the linked original format, is always a bit of a thrill I think.
On Planet Earth, to commemorate Darwin`s birthday , are a few shots of a classic Noodly appendage.
There is also a "Toadstool" Leather Coral somewhere in the two links newly added tonight.

I am drop-jawed at all the beauty in that set. I am especially agog at the colorful inhabitants of DSCN0316 and DSCN0506.

And the purple glow of the anemone is luscious.

Morning Head and Andi.

What Andi said ... and I was drinking coffee at the time ... ;~)

I LOVE this photo ... love it!!!! The perspective is just fantastic ... and the time you spent perfecting it in post-proc (the specs you mentioned) was well worth it. :-)

Couldn't resist the slideshow, but first looked at each one individually to appreciate the clarity & detail. Good day, Rising Submariner! You're very lovely with the soft ripples.
Could gaze at Anemone Purple for quite awhile. Such delicate beauty. Thank you for sharing this amazing world with us!

AndiF,
Well those are graphically descriptive terms.
Thank you.
You might now imagine how it`s difficult not to keep getting the reef growing better & more beautiful all the time. I was going to add a few species of corals today, but I`m practicing the needed patience it takes when stocking a reef. Slowly is good.

Thanks Olivia,
I like that one also, maybe because I spent so much time getting the dust off the water surface.
The Koi shots present one with focus problems, as you never know when a fish will veer away, or break to the surface, They never stop moving either so that`s another problem. The reflections off the surface are yet another obstacle, as I hate taking self-portraits when I want fish shots.

Ms NDD,
My middle initial is "S" for sharing.
About the Purple Anemone, the clownfish that lives with it is such a good housekeeper. It will pick up any debris, & move it to another area of the tank.
I sent you a little QuickTime movie of them both, taken with my little camera.
Thanks, I`m glad you enjoy the little reef paradise.

I think Up From the Deep is my favorite. Without dimensional context you'd think he was a a whale surfacing.

See if you can get a shot of him smiling, eh?

No Problem Ms. NDD
