MOM`S SUNSET

MOM`S SUNSET
This image I took in 1970 from the shore on Hermosa Beach in 1971. I developed the film (maybe/maybe not) or used the slide to print this image myself using the Ciba Chrome color process. This was the first color printing I had ever done & coming after black & white I saw the world in a new light. I sent it to my mom, & it hung in the livingroom of our house till after she broke through to the other side. After my dad passed away, my family sent it to me a few years ago. I scanned it a while ago but now the original is hanging in my house. So on reflection, sunsets never go away, there`s always one going on somewhere. May the sun never set on your dreams.
Have a nice sunshiney day & sing a tune lalallaaala Goodnight. I`ve gone off the deep end.
A demain.

Mom's Sunset is a mysteriously beautiful shot, Great that you have fine memories to go with it.

Also enjoyed the very colorful, wonderful collection of sea creatures on Planet Earth.

That's a great picture and a great story. I'm glad you have the picture back (nice to have the circle completed).

Morning Ndd.

You know what a fan I am of sunsets, and water, and sunsets on the water. So this one curls my toes, especially knowing its background. Glad it's come home to roost. Thanks for sharing!

Mom's sunset must have pleased her very much. It's a very beautiful picture, and once again shows what an artist you are.

Hi KH. Such a beautiful sunset. You did a great job printing it. Sunsets over the Pacific are awesome. G and I would love to be on that ketch. :-)

NDD,
Thanks,
Damn, I didn`t realize it was so late.
I`m working on the Koa slabs over at my shop, & don`t use a clock.

Andif,
Yes, circles are good.

Beth,
Curling toes is something I do well, or at least I`ve been told.
I`ve never let it go to my Head, though.
Thanks, Beth.

Nancy P,
Thank heavens, we seem to be in the same orbit.

FM,
I`m sure it did.
Anything she received from me was proof that no matter where I was, I was alive & in a relatively safe place. I did try & shield her from a lot of the situations I engaged in, voluntarily or not.
I know she knew that, but in return, shielded me from the knowledge of her worries, as great mothers do.

Evangeline,
May your dreams come true, or may you not wake from them.

Olivia,
Thanks, a sigh like that, put a gentle breeze in my sails.

Puget4,
I`d love to be there also.
But for right now, I`ll be satisfied with a note pad & a pencil, playing, (wait for it)
Sketch -A-Ketch
Thanks, Puget4

Hi, so happy it's back with you. I didn't get to see it at mom's.
P.S. Is it a problem to write you on yesterday's picture?

No It`s not a problem at all.
