ICE CREAM 911

 2 DSC0048
Today was a special day for me as I picked up my granddaughters for ice cream.
After work, they were hiding behind the door in the entry, & scared me half to death (ya, right) when they jumped out in halloween masks.
We went down into Malibu, for ice cream, & stopped at the memorial to the people who perished on 911.
They had a great time & the memorial was really beautiful.
I was actually surprised at the number of people who`d stopped & parked on the side of the road to enjoy the view over the ocean & sit down to rest, talk, remember etc.
Here is how it felt.
Have a nice day.
You all know I`ve been extremely busy, but I`ll be taking a break, within the next month, & you`ll be seeing more of my images.
Whether that`s a good or bad thing is not up to me to say.
Please click on the main image to see many more images of this day which I will not soon forget.
My girls were a laugh a minute. Their innocence is what keeps me sane, in a real crazy sort of way.
I love them.

As I said over at BT ... wow.

That's just a wonderful shot. The whole set is great; they all convey the mood so perfectly.

Hi Head, hi Andi.

I agree w/ Andi. This photo is really stirring Head, as are the others in the set.

These photos are totally amazing. The one in the main post brings to mind the covers of the old Life magazines I liked to read when I was a kid. And in my mind, one of the set (DSC0105) actually looks like a field of lavender or thyme in the French countryside. Amazing, I say! You are magic, Knucklehead!

What your granddaughter happened to be wearing that day (0048) adds to the special moment you captured in this photo. It really could be on the cover of a magazine. The photo of your granddaughter in 0143 is also very precious.

Thanks Olivia.
You`ve got my 'head' spinning with the "stirring".

Evangeline,
You know the magic of these grandchildren.
I`d bet you met ones just like these.
You are very generous with your compliments, thank you.

Thank you Msndd,
Skipping along eating ice cream, daydreaming & carefree. Add a field of waving color, (here it happened to be flags), a slight breeze, a matching color outfit, throw in some "grand" in there somewhere, & snap a pic. It just can`t go wrong.
Result: my Grand daughters.
The fact that they are a second generation chip off the old block doesn`t hurt either.
