CELEBRATING CHERYL

Untitled-1
I know I mentioned posting something else tonight, but Teri & I had decided to remember Cheryl, our neighbor who passed away a year ago today.
I came home at 10:00 AM & we went down in the yard where we have some of her statues.
This is one of my favorites.
Later in the evening I took a shot of the setting sun, an "eye" in the sky.
Then mysteriously the sky cleared & Cheryl seemed to do a close flyby of the moon, & then again, only closer.
Rest in Peace, Cheryl

Jews traditionally light a candle* that burns for 24 hours on the anniversary of a death as a way to keep the person alive by keeping our memories of them alive so what you and Teri did particularly resonates with me. Although I'm an atheist, this is the one Jewish ritual that I've followed and found very moving all my life.

I really liked DSCN5676. Wonderful juxtaposition.

Appreciating mysteries, messages, and beholding eyes. Peace.

AndiF & MsNDD,
Here`s response from Cheryl`s brother to who I sent a link to the blog.
"Hey there Tony,

You don't know how much this means to me, and I can't thank you enough for that wonderful remembrance at your blog site. I do want you to know that throughout the past year I have tried to keep up and view what you had at your blog site. You truly have a talent and we are all the richer for it!

Also it is nice to know that out of tragedy LouAnn and I were able to connect with you and Teri. Just know that we think of you often and please DO keep in touch, as it's always good to hear from you!

Stan and LouAnn"
I don`t think he`d mind my posting it here.
Teri has taken it upon herself to not let Cheryl`s memory be forgotten.

AndiF,
That`s a very nice comment.
The other neighbors who`ve been here much longer & had the opportunity to know Cheryl much more than we did, are like crickets.
I prefer it that way since most of them had nothing nice to say at the time.
People are strange, when you`re a stranger.

MsNDD,
One never knows who is watching.
Peace, is the nicest wish.
Thank you, & may she rest with it.
