VIRAL EMERALD

 bubble 2 DSCN0204
In keeping with the green mode, this tentacled animal, broken down to it`s electronic glow, is on the hunt.
In the header, a composite, is the lead-off to a set of images I took to keep track of the shelves in my office before hauling it to my new home. Planet Earth, usually holding a different set of images, is already connected to tonight`s post. A third set though, can be seen in the "Sherlock" collection.
Have fun sleuthing through my shelves. You`ve done a marvelous job so far, so why quit now. (sheesh)
Please have a nice day tomorrow & don`t take maybe, for an answer, to a yes or no question.

This green glowing tenticled animal is pretty darn bizarre! Reminds me once again of the computer generated fractal images.

As to "sleuthing" I plead the 5th. But... ah... whoever may be doing the sleuthing is likely overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the Two Morons (set).

The set does present a challenge of sorts. Hmmm, however, further investigations of same likely will be limited by dialup speeds, dang!

And now I go night night, good morning to the early risers...

Pleasant dreams, ndd -- so long as you don't dream about the glowing-green-thing.

So, Head, what exactly is the glowing-green-thing and what is it hunting for? Enquiring minds (and even not quite awake ones) want to know.

Wow! I'm viewing your site for the first time on a fancy flat screen monitor instead of the dratted Toshiba, and the colors are even more amazing. More beauty than I thought possible. Hope you have a glorious colorful weekend, head.

That looks like a microscopic Something. Probably lives in our noses.

Beth, I have a dratted Toshiba screen, too, and it kills me to miss all the intensity of the colors. Well, okay, not kills me. Wounds me to the quick, whatever that is.

NDD,
Fractals R Us. I forgot your occasional dial-up situation.
I had to add something above those two buffoons that I shot coincidentally.

Andif,
That green glowing thing is a Green Bubble Coral.
The bubbles are actually tentacles that are inflated with water, but nonetheless deadly to it`s prey. These tentacles will also pick off food particles flowing by in the current. This Coral is one of the biggest & most beautiful one of it`s species I have ever seen. It being in my reef is only a plus. It is over a foot across, the largest size they would grow to in the wild. Imagine these green bubbles as the size of grapes. It does look like an electron microscope scan.

Nancy p,
That snot funny.

Thanks for the Wow factor, but the screen is responsible. I love it when people react to natural things I shoot that blow me away also.

Snort.

Nancy p,
And with that, you`re cured.

Darn ... thought I had commented here earlier.

I love the colour of this one Head ... it's definitely otherworldly the way it's glowing.

Knucklehead said...

Olivia, You can`t be as confused as I am.
This coral often has that inner glow.

Beth, I had answered you earlier, but I SHOULD HAVE ADDRESSED YOU PROPERLY. nOW i
Looks like you`ve confused me also.
Hi Beth.

hmmm...appears you're a collector from the looks of your office.

like the masks, some of which you've shared previously.

speaking of masks, the newly renovated MOMA oceanic and native north american art gallery has just reopened.

slide show from the NYT HERE

enjoy

Wow, dada, thanks for that link. I`d go nuts at that exhibit, or spend the next few years there. Just the ceiling is an amazing collection.

I knew you meant me, head, even without the proper address. :-)

My Toshiba has been a lemon from Day One, Nancy. But maybe it misbehaves because I continually berate it using its own keyboard...

Nice Toshiba, niiiiiccceeee Toshiba.

Knucklehead said...

Beth, I don`t think your Toshiba cares what you say from another keyboard. You may have to tell her "Nice Toshiba" from her own board. But that`s just my opinion. I usually try & not talk to anyones keyboard.

I'm back on my laptop now, KH, so this evening's comments are courtesy of the Nice Toshiba. The Extremely Nice, Never Shuts Off By Itself, Never Loses My Work, Never Refuses To Turn On, Never Has To Be Sent Back To The Manufacturer Three Times, Toshiba. :-)

Wow, Beth, what a beautiful Toshiba!!. I wish I had one. ( nyet)

I knew you'd be jealous. Everyone is, you know. Because it's such a special machine.

(Think I've fooled it yet?)

On that note, I should let it take a well-deserved nap. :-)

Beth, say Goodnight for me, the poor little dear.

That's a cool photo, a very interesting graphic quality to it.

Hey Boran2
Thanks, I just looked at it & if you mean it looks like a comic book cover or a graphic from a video game box I see what you mean. It is a very strange animal & even though I`ve had it for years, I`m constantly fascinated by it`s convolutions in the currents.
