A flower I just found in my yard. It is growing by itself & I have no idea what kind of flower it is. Any hints? Have a nice day. I`ll have a few surprises tomorrow. That`s it for today except for a bunch more linked to this one.
Morning O and Head. My guess is a Mutated Ninja Tulip except it has 8 stamens (?) and only 4 petals and the leaves are all wrong. Does that help? Maybe it's a tulip from Australia where "everything" is backward.
Sorry I can't be of any real help...
It's pretty. How tall is it? Did you say there are more of these around? If there's lots of them, try digging one up to see if they come from bulbs.
no sweat. l've got one that likes to hide behind stuff, and if its dark outside, fuggetabout…if she doesn't move so her tags jingle, she's virtually invisible.
Coneflower, It is a strange one. I just discovered more, (I think) of the same kind, but they are purple. I`ll take some shots of the purple one that`s just blooming. It may or may not be the same. They seem to grow singly on a leafy stalk about a foot long.
dada, That`s like my black cat casper who`d hide in plain sight in front of the stereo speaker faces. you could see him if he opened his eyes. One time he went to sleep on the black top of my friend`s convertible. My friend walked up to his car & was opening the door, when the cat woke up, scaring the hell out of of him. He hadn`t even seen it & it was only a little more than a foot from his face, at eye level.
Falling water stopped in flight, then slowly flutters to alight. In doing so, it paints our place, our planet, seen in white, from space Slowly changes in seasons slow To browns then greens and flowered glow This strange liquid, a natural show, Is jeweled starlight we call snow

Morning Head.
No idea what the flower is ... Coneflower might know. It's really pretty though. I did some searching and I can't find anything.

I found the dog (with some help from downloading and blowing up real big). Yay me. :)
I love DSCN6960.
'find the dog'… redefining the term lurker, eh.

nice set…and l haven't a clue what that bloom is.
Olivia,
I found that a gopher had uprooted that one.
I`m thinking more seem to be popping up though.

AndiF,
Cool
I hadn`t even seen the dog when I was shooting the hillside planter.
