PRIMROSE IB CLONES

 TOADSTOOL DSCN2915
This pinkish tan coral is a "Toadstool" Leather.
I thought that each individual polyp head on it looked like the Primrose IB`s that Olivia posted a few days ago.
In the foreground is a colony of Green Zoas.
The header is a panorama I made this evening from 5 images shot at dusk, through the rain.
On Planet Earth, I let you revisit the "Ladies Of Planet Earth", a collection of Horned Toad images from a few years ago.
Although I`ve relocated them back to nature, I still miss their funny antics, I observed while I sheltered them.
I`ve been 'up & at em' pretty early today & will be doing the same in the morning, so I`ll just get on with "Tony`s Tips"
Please get plenty of rest.
Good Night

hmm, I think I'm going to annoit you the "King of Bizzare".

The main post, IB Clones, definitely continues the WhiteKnuckle tradition of the other-worldly.

I'm fascinated by the Horned Toads, even as it has taken me a while to actually believe they are real creatures. I'm starting to think they're almost as cute as the blennies.

How big are they, and what do they eat... bugs and flies?

Cute as the blennies!?! Heresy, ndd.

But they do all look like they one very big secret that I really should know and that they are never going to tell me.

Cool spider, Head.

Head ... LOL, those are fantastic!

I never know what I'm going to see when I click on your b - and I love that. You're always surprising me with something I've never seen before. What a strange and fascinating world.

Scrubbing bubbles. Whee!

(Possibly this makes no sense to anybody but me, lol. The photo looks like soap suds to me.)

NDD,
They are no doubt, cute, but they don`t really interact with me, like Blenny does.
They weigh up to 140 pounds & eat chickens, small mammals & ... Not.
They are from 4/5 inches long. A very strange animal, it will squirt blood out of it`s eye at an attacking animal, leading that animal to believe it has possibly been wounded & hopefully call off the attack.
Their diet is stranger still.
They feed almost exclusively on ants.
I would buy ants by the thousands for them. I was often seen in the area on ant hunts. Walking around with a "Dust Buster" vacuum, I`d search for ant trails, & suck them up.
They hibernate during the cold months. They are incredible at blending in to their surroundings & seem to disappear, before your eyes.

Andif, "Heresy", no kidding, what`s his problem.
They definitely hold a few mysteries that I don`t know about either. Although they look dangerous, they are quite gentle & to hold them in your hand, you`d find them soft & not as "spikey" or "spiney" as they might lead one to believe by looking at them.

Olivia,
Step into my parlor. Andif said I was a cool spiderhead.
Do the primrose centers look like the polyps, or what.
I`m glad you like the daily surprises. I just hope I don`t run out of them.

Nancy P,
You might want to step away from the mushrooms.
The "soapsuds" coral, is a Mushroom Leather Coral.

Heh, you have ... many curious things to show when [we] are there ... :)

It does look similar!

As for running out, I don't think it's possible for you to run out of surprising things. You've got the eye.

Olivia,
Your`s is the eye of the beholder, though.
I`m just the beholden one for your lovely comments.
