A VISION IN A DREAM

 A VISION IN A DREAM
"But oh! that deep romantic chasm which slanted
Down the green hill athwart a cedarn cover!
A savage place! as holy and enchanted
As e'er beneath a waning moon was haunted
By woman wailing for her demon-lover!"
Samuel Taylor Coleridge
Inspired by a quote that Nancy P inserted in a comment, I did this little study on Coleridge`s vision in "Kubla Khan".
Have a nice day, & please eat at least one piece of fruit a day.
Good night.

Spooky sight to wake up to. I think I'd prefer a blenny. :)

Morning Head.

The vision pic is great, but I really do like the nothing but the blues pic and the Malibu pier pic. Love that fiery hue in the sky behind the pier.

Greetings KH!

Finally got a brief Internet connection, courtesy of a Southern Arizona Army base.

As always, I enjoy the pix, wisdom and wit of your postings.

Santa Ana winds have been shaking our rig on and off over the last while. Annoying, but as guests of the desert we're not complaining.

Been on several hikes up and down canyons in the area where our rig is set up. Very nice. Have you ever been out here (Imperial Dam area)?

Been jamming with some other folks camped in the area (mostly Willie, Waylon, Merle and the like). I brought John Prine and Guy Clark into the picture, a welcome addition according to some of the other jammers.

Take care, KH. We might visit you between now and end of Feb.

Cheers,
Landsailor

Andif,
Sorry about the rude awakening.
The Blenny pops up at odd times & places though.
You sometimes have to watch your mail.

Hey FM,
How is everything with you?
Since Nancy P had voted (she was the only one to cast a vote) that I should keep the pier up, I changed the background to it, to the one you like.
I do try to please every one.
Nice seeing you again.

Hey Landsailor,
I was just wondering about you guys yesterday. We`ve been getting the Santa Anna`s here the past few days. They usually gain in intensity as they come through the narrow canyons, & as they drop in elevation, from high desert to sea level.
I haven`t been down by Zuma, but have been to your campsite in a VR panorama.
I hope you`re taping the jam sessions out there & you might want to go easy on the peyote out there too.
Anytime you plan on coming through is fine by me. If your bringing the land yacht, I`ve got plenty of dock space here.

Is that the Buddhist goddess, Green Tara?

I love your creativity Head - it's truly inspiring.

Nancy P,
I don`t think it is Green Tara, a female buddhist deity associated with wisdom.
Sometimes depicted with six arms, or with two arms in many poses, I`ve never seen the Green Tara standing.
This is a bronze replica of Japanese provenance from the early Nara period or 500/700AD.
It`s difficult to locate documentation of the Japanese Buddhist sculptures for some reason that I don`t understand.

Olivia,
I`ll try anything twice.
Another one of my mottos.
And, Thank You.(another one)
