Beth, this is not the image I had in mind, but this one just bloomed in the "Reef Garden" here.
It will be gone within hours, so I captured it for your purple fix.
It is in a concave depression in some black lava rock in one of our gardens.
Have a great day.

I'll let Beth have the purple flower because I'm really taken with the play of light on the red petals (?) on the lower left.
Thanks, andi! :-) The red is all yours.
And thank you, head, for starting my day with my favorite color. You're so sweet to think of me! I will carry this smile all day.
BTW, to answer the other day's question, it's the same picture - guess I should consider changing it, but since I still look like that (pretty much), maybe there's no reason. Maybe your eyes see the changes that the picture doesn't reflect...
AndiF,
The red petals(?) you like are succulent "leaves". They are great for fire control here in California, since they are almost all water.
They are also a great water saver, & a very low- maintenance plant.
Beth,
I think that`s what my question was about.
It seems to me(at least), that you have a brighter smile
If the case is that I`m the only one seeing it, all the more power to me, right.
Yes indeed. These days are much more diamond than stone. Time does indeed heal. If you're the only one seeing it, then that smile is just for you. Hoping to share it in person one of these days soon - working on it!
