Our cat Milo left yesterday after 20 years of companionship. He was a tough old boy. Happy hunting over there, Milo

I'm so sorry for your loss, 'head; he was lucky to have a great family to cater to him. You'll have your memories, and I hope he's in a place filled with all of the delights he could possibly wish for.
Thank you for sharing him with us. Sending warm thoughts your way.
Hi Evangeline, I`m going to be in complete charge of the remaining menagerie starting next week or May 2nd, exactly, for almost a month. Teri is going to Scotland, so I get to take care of Coconut, Kiwi, (a Ringneck Parrot) Billy, (a cockatiel) & a wild but crippled (broken wing) Nanday Conure. Then there`s Niki, the cigarette burned dog. They all eat different food, at different times. They go out into the aviary at different times & come back inside at night at different times. The aviary is completely cleaned every night, to prevent left over food in dishes & any spilled on the floor from attracting rats or mice. I think I`ll get another cat while teri is gone. That way, she`ll have no heart to reject it when she comes back. I`ll call soon.
Evangeline, The reefs are nothing. It`s very routine for me. Actually I`m probably going to expand the reef with another side tank as a refugium. Connect a chiller to it ahead of the hot summer months & install a Calcium reactor. The other animals, whew!!, that`s something that`ll take me a few days to keep organized in my head.
Olivia, Parting is really such sweet sorrow. You know it`s best, but it does leave an empty space. Although, that will fill with memories as time goes by.
He never liked any dog in his territory that hadn`t been thoroughly (vetted), by him. He`d go nose to nose with Niki as a friend & never minded touching nose to beak with Coconut. He never so much as hissed at Coconut.
Falling water stopped in flight, then slowly flutters to alight. In doing so, it paints our place, our planet, seen in white, from space Slowly changes in seasons slow To browns then greens and flowered glow This strange liquid, a natural show, Is jeweled starlight we call snow

Hi Beth,
I hope everything is fine with you.
Thank You, for the nice thoughts.
Milo is the best looking one-eyed cat I've seen -- what panache.
Hi Knucklehead!
Sorry to hear that Milo checked out. I bet he had a good life, though, with you around, and Teri, and Coconut and the rest of the ménagerie.
Here's thinking about you all.

Holy Moses! Not to mention your reefs... Sounds like a tough (and sleepless) month ahead.
I'm looking forward to talking with you. Bon vent to Teri!

Hi Head ... What a lovely guy. I'm sorry your friend is gone.
I agree w/ Evangeline (hi Evangeline!) Sounds like you're going to be very busy!

For an old kitty, Milo was plenty feisty when Happi strayed too near during our recent visit.
Sorry to hear he's left this world.

Sorry to read this. And what a remarkable photo that is.
Boran2,
Thanks,
He really was a nice buddy, & principled, just like a DFH.
