RAY BANS

DSCN3833
Tonight`s sunset is from the same yard where the bottles are. I have been out of touch because of fire damage to the fiber optic cables in the area.
This is the first day of clean air as the ocean breeze has cleaned up the coastal zone.
This was taken during a rain shower.
There is another image from the same vantage point behind this one & for Olivia, (a major player in the creation of this picture window), I put in a set of the red flower from the header, in the collection, called "BLOOD ON THE SHEETS". The red flower in some provocative images of innocence is in the set named "Candle in the Wind".
On Planet Earth, a White Honeysuckle, I happened to notice. Strangely, it was the only one that decided to attract my eye, after days of dry winds & desicating heat & smoke. I put up a little study of this paired blossom.
Hopefully my fiber optics remain at 20/20.
You all enjoy a day of rest. I`ll be wicked for a little while longer, & as you know, there`s no rest for the wicked.

Good morning KH and folks.

Spectacular sunset! It almost looks like the fires have moved into the sky.

"Eye Candy Melt" is my favorite at the linen sale. How'd it "melt" is my question of the day.

Glad the air is clearing up, head. Can I join you on the wicked side?? I don't need much rest, and I think it'd be a lot more fun... :-)

Hey NDD,
Chariots of fire.
"EYE CANDY" is a plugin for Photoshop.
It`s a filter in the eye-candy set of maybe a dozen or so.
Most of these filters have an infinite number of settings that you can adjust with the effect changing accordinly until you click OK. Then it renders what you have set it to do.
I should take one image & show each filter.
The "burlap" one is from an embedded filter in photoshop.

Beth, there`s a spot on my right, real close, that`s waiting.
I promise it`d be more fun, & so would the rest.
How`s your day so far?

Don't be surprised if I show up to fill that space someday, head! I wander through southern CA regularly. Close friends in San Clemente, Newport Beach, Venice, LA - and I love San Diego.

My day has been good. Mood has improved finally - 2056 words so far, still aiming for 2500 before I call it a night. Red Sox are winning. And the windows are open.
I have blessings to count. Thanks for asking. How about yours?

Beth,
My day has been ongoing for over a month right now, but this 12 hour time period was good. I`ll post what my mission has been for the past six weeks, in three days.
I would have described the mission before, but till it`s over, it remains top secret. Anything might jeopardize it`s sucess & it`s almost over. So far so great.
As a matter of fact it`s getting better & better as the final days approach, which is a very good thing.
I`m close to Venice Ca, so if you visit, I would take it as a personal affront if I wasn`t allowed the privilege of meeting you. San Clemente & Newport Beach are as far away as you are now, as far as my ever visiting there, but San Diego, which is even further is closer to me because I have very good memories of when I was in the harbour there. I spent three months on board the "MV ROGUE" in
preparation for the New Hebrides trip. It was a steel hulled 180 foot motor vessel (MV) built in 1927 for Krupp Steel with Krupp steel.

I'll look forward to hearing about it in three days!!

I should be in CA sometime next spring/summer, and would never dream of affronting you. :-) I would enjoy the chance to meet you and hear more about your world. And your watery adventures!

Haven't made it to the New Hebrides yet, but heard about them when I lived in England. And have read about them as Vanuatu recently. That must have been an amazing trip...

Have a wonderful evening, head. Thanks for the note.

Beth,
If you send an address, I`ll send you a DVD that some of the others here have seen. Anybody who has seen it might want to rec it or not to Beth.
I`m waiting!!
You can send an address through Olivia, NDD, dada Andi f to keep it private. hah. They all know how to reach me. How private can that be. I just noticed you can email me at my gmail account I think. I see it but others may not. It`s right below if you can see it. If you do & use it, comment that you have, & I`ll check that mailbox, otherwise I don`t.
Off & running again.

Thanks, head. I did reply to your mail and sent my address, but sometimes Yahoo sends my mail into the stratosphere. I'll do it again.

Thanks so much for the offer! I'm touched.

Beth, Got it.
Consider it done.
Good night.

Morning all.

Beautiful shot, Head, though I suspect a lot of people in your area would rather not see the sky that color for a good while.

Beth, it's a wonderful DVD that's truly entrancing so besides its inherent pleasures, you can also use it to keep you from doing things you know you really ought to be doing .

Morning Head, Andi and other visitors.

I had a similar thought to Andi - beautiful sky, but scary colours after the last week.

The red of those flowers is fantastic. You commented once about the difficulty capturing red -- these are perfect!

Thanks andi - I'm sold! And looking forward to it.

Morning all.

KH,

I haven't seen it either (DVD). It sure sounds intriguing.

There's something apocalyptic in your RayBan photo – and it's amazingly beautiful.

Andi f,
Actually it`s a good sign that things are back to normal, at least for those fortunate enough to not having been severely impacted by the fires, some of which I believe still burn.
As far as the DVD, that`s the best way to describe it, Thank You.
The invite to send it to anyone is open to others who have NOT seen it like Nancy P, dada, Katiebird, CG, Puget(I do hope you`re feeling much betta) Myth mother etc etc. Have a great day.

Knucklehead said...

Yes Olivia, you`re right, I did always have trouble seeing red, but when it`s a lady removing her red gown, I don`t seem to have that problem.
Thank you.

Knucklehead said...

Beth, you`re an easy sale. I have a bridge also. Enjoy

Knucklehead said...

Evangeline, I`m surprised you haven`t, I`ll send you one also. Major oversight on my part.
The sunrise this morning was also amazing but from a different vantage point. I`ll try & link it later today.

Yes, I am. Miss Gullible.

Love bridges. As long as they have real water, and not a fake grass river, under them. :-) They don't even have to lead anywhere.

Evangeline said...

I'll be looking forward to it (photo and DVD). Thanks!

I'm anxious to hear about your mission in a few days. And even if you always do, I can't help but say: Watch your back!

Evangeline said...

I just dropped in on yesterday and found that Andie had done the same. Salut toé!
